Open in App
Solution

In the question no information is given about the eastward displacement of the man. So, we shall consider only the north and the south displacement.

Displacement towards north is = 8 m

Displacement towards south is = 16 m

Since, north and south are oppositely directed, so, the net displacement is = 16 – 8 = 8 m towards south.
