In "uses of concntration of real life" what is the meaning of "addition of antifreeze of vehicles"
Dear student!
The antifreezes are the compounds which acts as cooling agent in a reaction mixture or in a reserved matter.
Theses antifreeze like ethylene glycol is mixed with solvent (like water) so that it depresses the freezing point by some degrees and hence the water does not freezes even at low temperatures.
It is used in radiator of cars because it prevents the water in radiator and engine from freezing in cold temps.
It also keeps that same water from boiling over in the summer. Radiators are normally filled with a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water.
It is also a coolant is lubrication which it lubricates the moving parts it comes in contact with, like the water pump etc.
Thus, it maintains the car and its engine from stopping after a long drive or at extreme conditions of temperature.
