Question

in variable speed, what will be the graph ( in which direction will the graph curve attract - towards distance or towards time) if:

1. distance is taken uniformly and time non- uniformly?

2. distance is taken non-uniformly and time uniformly?

Solution

On uniform motion of the particle the speed of the particle is constant and the speed and time graph shows a straight line if initial speed is zero at t =0 than the graph originates from origin
now if the motion is non uniform means the particle is changing its speed or direction of speed hence the accleration is produced
the graph formed is curved graph and curved towards distance if in small time it makes large distance else the curve part bends towards time axis.
