Camels are found in dry and arid regions. In India they are found in desert areas.It is characterised by very low rainfall and arid climate with low vegetation. Streams appear in rainy season and soon they disappear into the sand. Large area is covered with sand dunes.

Rhinoceros are found in various habitats. Black Rhino are found in habitat that has dense and woody vegetation. The white rhino lives in savannah where they have water holes, mud wallows, shade trees, and the grasses they graze on. In India they are found in entire Indo-Gangetic plain, mainly in Terai region, at the foot of Himalayas. Terai region is characterised by belt of marshy grassland, savannah and forest land drained by perennial rivers.
