Question

In Z scheme in PS1 NADP reduces to NADPH+H,, does the same thing occur in cyclic phosphorylation?? why??

Open in App
Solution

In cyclic photophosphorylation P680 and P700 are not connected and electrons are cycled back to P700. So, electrons are not available for NADP to get reduced and hence cyclic photophosphorylation only produces ATP and not NADPH.
