Industrialisation was a mixed blessing:

• It gave jobs to many unemployed but increase in migration rate caused poverty and housing issues in the cities
• The dependence on the machines also led to the loss of jobs of the semi skilled and unskilled workers.
• It employed the unemployed but in the process also employed the women and children who were forced to work in inhuman conditions and underpaid
