1) Indian government has passed a law to protect women against domestic and sexual violence in offices, in workplaces, in homes etc

2) It was the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace, (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal ) Act of 2013 which was enacted as a response to gang rape in Delhi which lead to the death of victim

3) According to this law, any aggrieved woman can lodge a complaint in writing and accordingly necessary action would be taken against the complainant by making the concerned person pay a compensation to the mental stress and trauma felt by the aggrieved and if necessary criminal action can also be taken provided the aggrieved takes the issue to the court
