Question

Is a current carrying conductor electrically charged?- Give reason.

Open in App
Solution

Every object we encounter has charges inside it but because number of negative and positive are equal there is no net charge.

It is the same for a conductor, although electrons flow through it, the number entering equal the number leaving. Thus, the net charge on a conductor is zero.
