is buoyancy and archimedis' principle different
Buoyancy is the phenomenon by which an object with lesser density than the density of fluid immersed will float in the fluid. It acts in upward direction.
Archemedes’ principle of buoyancy states that when a body is immersed wholly or partially in a liquid, it experiences an upward buoyant force of magnitude equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by it.
Buoyant force = Weight of displaced liquid |
