is coelom present in platyhelminthes?

Open in App
Solution

A true body cavity or coelom means a fluid filled cavity lined with mesodermal tissue layers in which the organs remain suspended. In platyhemninthes (e.g. flatworm), fluid filled body cavity is not present. The space between the body wall and alimentary canal is filled with connective tissues.
