The area on or near the surface of earth has been divided into four spheres:

Lithosphere containing rocks- abiotic component.

Hydrosphere is composed of all of the water on the earth- abiotic component.

Biosphere is composed of all living organisms on the earth- biotic component.

Atmosphere is the body of air which surrounds the earth- abiotic component.

So, it is concluded that earth is both biotic as well as abiotic.
