Yes you are right since warm blooded organisms have the mechanisms to maintain their constant body temperature they can survive in a wide range of temperatures while cold blooded animals change their body temperature according to the surroundings they cannot survive in wide range of temperature as excess cold or excess heat can be disastrous for their body.
