Yes, in tubectomy (surgical type of contraceptive method) both fallopian tubes in a woman body, need to be tied up/blocked to prevent passage of ova from both ovaries. Each fallopian tube is connected to ovary
Doing this ensures prevention of unwanted pregnancy.
