Question

is the statement right that we should not give water to plants at evening or night? if yes so why and if no so why?

Solution

During night, the stomata are closed and transpiration does not occur so the conduction of water and minerals does not occur properly. If the conduction does not occur then water logging would take place and anaerobic condition would be created which is not desirable, hence we should avoid watering plants in late evening or night.
