Isomerism: It is the phenomenon by which certain compounds with same molecular formula exist in different chemical structures. These compounds are called as isomers. They have same number of atoms of each element but different arrangements of atoms in space. Their chemical properties may or may not be same depending upon the functional group present. Also the physical properties are not same.
