It is known that leeward side of western ghats do not recieve rainfall as the s-w monsoon winds looses moisture on the westward side only ,so how does proceeding states gets rainfall from s-w monsoon winds?

1) South East Trade winds which causes south west monsoon blow over warm oceans thus gathering abundant moisture in the mainland of India

2) These winds blow at an average velocity of 30 km/hr and thus bringing a gradual change in the weather. As a result, the Deccan Plateau and parts of Madhya Pradesh receive some amount of rain due to these winds

3) North Eastern part of the country receives more rainfall that is, Mawsynram receives more amount of rainfall due to the influence of these winds
