Solution

All matter exits in three different physical states - solid, liquid, gaseous. The chemical properties of any matter does not change when it changes its state from one to another. Therefore, individual water molecules in ice, liquid water, and steam are all identical. The molecular shape, physical and chemical properties of the H2O molecules do not differ from state to state.
