Kindly explain the process of diffusion that takes place between two cells.
Diffusion is the movement of molecules from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration. Diffusion occurs during transport of small molecules across the cell membrane. So, material can enter or exit the cell through diffusion. If two cells are placed adjacent to each other, then diffusion can occur and small molecules will pass from region of high concentration to a region of low concentration, but they have to cross two cell membranes.
