lacunae and sinuses are present in the tissue or sorrounded by tissue ? what are haemocoel and haemolymph

Open in App
Solution

  • Lacunae and sinuses are in the tissue. When the blood does not remain confined to the blood vessels, and flows into the spaces and channels called lacunae and sinuses in the tissue, it is termed as the open circulatory system.

  • Blood vessels are poorly developed and open into space (haemocoel). Visceral organs located in the haemocoel are bathed in blood (haemolymph)
