liquid and gases are called fluids in what way they differ from each other
Following are the differences between liquids and gases
1) The forces of attraction between the constituent particles of a liquid are stronger than in gases.
2) The spaces between the constituent particles in a liquid are smaller than in gases.
3) Liquids have definite volume but no definite shape. On the other hand, gases neither have definite shape nor volume.
4) The rate of diffusion in gases is higher than in liquids.
5) Gases are more compressible than liquids.
