Answer :

Given : ​The taxi ride costs Rs.15 for the first km and Rs. 8 for each additional km and part there of .
And total distance traveled by Mrs Nysa = 3.8 km

So we can write 3.8 AS :

First Km ( 1 ) + additional km ( 1 ) + additional km ( 1 ) + part of km ( 0. 8 )
So,
Mrs. Nysa pay for 3.8 km = 15 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 39

So,
