Solution

1) Substances that contain only one kind of atoms are ELEMENTS.

2) Substances which are good conductors of electricity are Conductors. For eg. graphite, most metals.

3) Substances which can be easily broken are Brittle. For eg.- Sulphur and Phosphorous.

4) The oxides of metals which dissolve in water to form bases are Basic in nature.
For eg.
Na2O(basic oxide) + H2O 2NaOH(base)
K2O + H2O → 2KOH

5) Similarly oxides of non- metals are acidic in nature, so they dissolve in water to form acids.
For eg.-
CO2(acidic oxide) + H2O → H2CO3(acid)
