Excretion is the elimination of metabolic waste from the body of plants. Various metabolic wastes produced by plants are nitrogenous waste products, tannins, organic acids, resins, gums, etc. Plants do not have any specific mechanisms for collection, transportation and removal of waste products; instead they have developed various mechanisms to protect their living cells from waste products.
