Nucleus of an an atom is heavy and positively charged. Give reason.

The nucleus consists of protons and neutrons.
Of which protons are positively charged and neutrons have no charge but possess mass equal to that of proton.
Both proton and neutron are around 1870 times heavier than electrons.
Hence the nucleus is positive and heavy.
