Solution
Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction where a single parent reproduces to form new individuals which are exact copies of their parents. In asexual reproduction a single parent reproduces and passes on its entire genetic material to form new individual. As the genetic material in the new organism is from a single parent, their exist no variation resulting in the exact copies of their parents.
Thus the progeny obtained from asexual reproduction is exact replica of the parent with the same genetic material as that of the parent.
