Question

on the basis of ohms law,define 1 ampere and 1 volt

Open in App
Solution

According to Ohm's law,
V=IR or I=V/R
1 volt=1 ampere x 1 ohm
The potential difference between the ends of conductor will be 1 volt if the resistance of conductor is 1 ohm and a current of 1 ampere flows through it.
A current of 1 ampere will flow through the conductor, if its resistance is 1 ohm and the potential difference between the ends of conductor is 1 volt or the resistance and potential difference have same magnitude.
