(i) Scalene (ii) Isosceles (iii) Equilateral
On the basis of angles, triangles can be classified as
(i) Acute angled (ii) Right angled (iii) Obtuse angled
Therefore, there are six types of triangles.
(i) Scalene (ii) Isosceles (iii) Equilateral (iv) Acute angled (v) Right angled (vi) Obtuse angled.
But note that:
Scalene triangle is either acute angled or right angled or obtuse angled.
Isosceles triangle is also either acute angled or right angled or obtuse angled.
Equilateral triangle is always an acute angled.
