The oxygen molecule is formed when two oxygen atoms combine with each other. An oxygen molecule is represented as O2. So, the atomicity of oxygen molecule is 2. We are given that the atomicity of ozone molecule is 1.5 times that of oxygen molecule. So, the atomicity of ozone molecule will be
= 1.5 X (atomicity of oxygen molecule)
= 1.5 X 2
= 3
So, the atomicity of ozone molecule is 3, and therefore an ozone molecule will be represented as O3.
