A body of mass5 kg is kept on a table. If it is displaced by a force of 10N by 2 m on the

table on the same horizontal line, find the work done by the gravitational force.

We know that,
W=Fs cos$\mathrm{\theta }$
and since the force of gravity is perpendicular to the displacement , therefore the angle is 90 degree and cos 90 is zero , so eventually the work done will be zero by gravity to move the body in a horizontal plane by a distance of 2m.
