People living near the Chambal River

The main occupation of the people here is agriculture.Most of them were semi- nomadic tribes and were engaged in hunting and food gathering. But now they have adopted settled cultivation as heir means of livelihood. Ganggar festival is celebrated once a year where goddess parvati is worshipped by women.Other festivals include Ganesh chaturthi, Raksha Bandhan, Bhai dooj, Navratri etc are also celebrated.So far as the dresses are concerned, the men wear dhoti kurta and women wear sari.

People living near black soil region.

The people of this region has agriculture as their primary occupation. Cotton, wheat etc are grown here.Festivals like Simhasta mela, Gana-gour are celebrated here.Men and women wear traditional dresses.

People living in Thar desert

Life of the people living in Thar desert is difficult. They rear animals like sheep, camel and cattle.Thy celebrate festivals like Teej, Desert festival, Gangaur, Diwali, Dussehra etc.Men wear dhoti, kurta and turban and women wear ghagra, choli and odhni.
