plants autotropic org. as they synthesis their own food but few plants are carnivorous eg.rafflasia,venus flytrapetc. these are either parasitic or carnivorous so why are these called plants when all plants are autotrophic.

Carnivorous plants like Venus fly trap are said to be autotrophic, because they can prepare food of their own like any other plants. They have both autotrophic and heterotrophic mode of nutrition. Very few plants do not have chlorophyll and hence they are having parasitic mode of nutrition.

Except a very few, most of the plants are autotrophic and hence plants are called autotrophic.
