Solution

  • An interest group is a group of people who share the same agenda and interest. It is different from a movement because the membership of a movement is not limited, there is an open door policy for membership to join the movement. The pubic opinion decides the momentum and fate of a movement.
  • Public interest group sees the interest of the public in general and wider issues whereas sectional interest groups see the interest of particular section of society.
  • Both interest group and movement group share the same idea of catering to the interest of general public.
