potato plants produce flowers, fruits, seeds. Yet, they never grow from the seecs. why?

Potato plants can be grown from seeds but the potatoes produced in this process are usually very small in size and fewer in quantity. They are mini tubers, not full size potatoes. To obtain good quality bigger potatoes the plants should be grown from the cut tubers with ‘eyes’ or buds.
