Force and area are two extensive properties and depend upon the amount of the substance or size of the system, however, pressure is the ratio of force and area, and any quantity that depends upon the ratio of two extensive quantities is scale invariant and does not depend upon the size or amount of matter in the system. Thus, pressure becomes the intensive property.
