Let the total distance covered by the car = x
Time taken by the car to cover 2/5 of total distance x with velocity v₁is given by :
$t_{1} = \frac{\frac{2}{5} x}{v_{1}} = \frac{2 x}{5 v_{1}}$

Time taken by the car to cover remaining 3/5 of total distance x with velocity v₂is given by :
$t_{2} = \frac{\frac{3}{5} x}{v_{2}} = \frac{3 x}{5 v_{2}}$
