P,Q and R are partners in a business .P whose money has been used for 4 months , claims 18 of the profit , Q whose money has been used for 6 months ,claims at 13 of the profit . R had invested Rs. 1560 for 8 months .How much did P and Q contribute ?

Let P and Q invested 2x and 2y respectively P's profit =18 and Q's profit =13
R's profit =1(18+13)=11124=241124
=1324
P's share: Q's share : R's share
=18:13:1324
4x12:6y12:1560×812=3:8:13
2x:3y:6240=3:8:13
2x6240=313
2x=3×624013
2x=480×3
x=240×3=Rs. 720/-
and 3y6240=813
y=6240×33×13
y=480×83=1280/-
Thus P invested Rs. 720/- and Q invested Rs. 1280/-.
