Solution

a). Ozone or trioxygen is an inorganic molecule or gas with molecular formula O3 which is naturally present in upper atmosphere (i,e. stratosphere).
b).It absorbs the harmful ultraviolet c and most of the Uv-b light coming from sun and filters that to reach to the earth. These harmful rays can otherwise sterilize the earth and can make severe harm to the environment.
c). The reduction of ozone molecules and hence degradation or depletion in the layer of ozone is known as ozone depletion. It happens by the effect and reaction of various chemical products used in industries and daily use perfumes, deodorants etc. which contains chlorofluro carbon (CFC) and other harmful gases which breaks the ozone molecules and hence creating a hole in it which results into various environmental damages.
Like, the UV light which comes on the earth through the hole causes skin cancer, eye diseases and various other skin diseases and its longer attachment can cause to death also.
It also increases the temperature of earth which results into global warming and due to which the glaciers are melting and sea level is rising every day.
Hence, many protocols like Montreal protocols etc . have been done to reduce this.
