Solution
Photosynthesis uses the CO2 present in the atmosphere for making food inside the plant body. As a result amount of CO2 or carbon is reduced in the atmosphere and it is converted into the more useful form like carbohydrate which can be used by other organism present in the atmosphere. After the death of an organism this carbon again recycles in the atmosphere and carbon cycle continues.
Ozone layer is a protective layer of ozone (O3) present in the lower stratospheric region in atmosphere. It protects our environment by absorbing the harmful UV radiation present in the sun light. It is depleted by human activities that involve the use of gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and bromoflurocarbon which are present in refrigerators, air-conditions. As a result of ozone layer depletion a small hole is formed near north poles which is called as ‘ozone hole’. Harmful UV radiations are entering through this hole and damaging human life by inducing cancer and several other hazardous diseases.
