- Friedel Craft is of two types: 1. Friedel Craft alkylation and 2. Friedel craft acelylation
Both are electrophillic aromatic substitution reaction. In this reaction the energy required to break bonds in reactant is less then the energy required to make bond of product, so this reaction would be endothermic reaction and value of ΔH will be positive.
- Birch reduction: It is an addition reaction. It is exothermic reaction so value of ΔH will be negative.
