Solution

Like all other flowering plants rose also produces fruit. After pollination when the petals drop off, rose fruit can be seen. It is called hip.

However, the rose and tomato plants are used by humans for different purposes. The rose plant is selected and cultivated for flowers while as tomato is selected for fruits. Thus, before producing fruits, rose flowers are cut and used by humans for different purposes. Also as rose plant reproduces vegetatively, so it does not need to produce seeds for further cultivation.
