Solution

Hi,

a change of state is accompanied by the change in intermolecular forces or bonds. Rubber is a solid but it contains cross likings in it. When we stretch a rubber, some inter linkages break down and hence rubber stretches, thus we have seen that there occurs change in intermolecular forces but the state still remains the same as solid.
