Six years ago Ravi was three times as old as Hari. After 12 years ,Ravi would be twice as old as Hari. How old are they now?

R-6=3(H-6)

R-6 = 3H-18

R = 3H -12 ...(1)

R+12= 2(H+12)

3H-12+12=2H+12 (from (1)

3H=2H+12

H=12

(1)==>R= 3*12-12= 36-12=24

So, H=12 and R=24
