Role of police

• Police enforce law impartially and protect life, property, liberty, human rights of public
• They promote and preserve social order
• They protect public properties including roads, railways, bridges, and act against violence etc
• They prevent crimes and reduce the opportunities for the commission of crimes and accurately register all complaints brought to them by complainants etc
