Calculate the ratio of the area volume for the unit cube a unit sphere inscribed inside the cube & as right cylinder inscribed inside the cube ?

(a)

area of cube of side 'a' = 6a2

volume of cube of side 'a' = a3

so, ratio

area/volume = 6a2 / a3 = 6/a

(b)

the area of a sphere inside a cube of side 'a' will be

area = 4Ï€(a/2)2

= πa2

volume of cube of side 'a' = a3

so, ratio

area/volume = πa2 / a3 = π/a

as a = 1

area/volume = π
