Question

. Is uniform circular motion an example of uniform acceleration. Why ?

Open in App
Solution

Uniform circular motion is not a uniformly accelerated motion. In a uniform circular motion the linear acceleration is zero because,

a = rα

Where, a is linear acceleration, r is radius and α is angular acceleration. Since, in uniform circular motion α = 0, so, a = 0.
