Carbon Monoxide is non mettalic oxide, it should be acidic in nature but it is neutral. why?

Carbon monoxide reacts with Sodium Hydroxide and forms a salt known as Sodium methanoate as follows:

CO + NaOH → HCOONa

Since Carbon monoxide reacts with base, thus it is an acidic oxide, however it is very slightly acidic in nature.
