Factors that result in the origin of new species are:-

1.Genetic isolation means lack of interbreeding between the organisms of same species means less intermixing of genes due to geographical barriers.

2.Genetic divergence means accumulation of mutation over a long time that leads to change in characters and hence speciation.

3. Size of the species, more the size of species more they will encounter changes in environment and surroundings that lead to adaptational changes and origin of new species.
