Galileo gave the concept of inertia.
He said that inertia is the property of the body which oppose any change occurring into it.
Inertia is the ability of the body to sustain the current state of the body.
If body is in motion, it will remain in motion or a body at rest will remain rest until or unless some external force is applied on it.
There are three types of inertia:
1) Inertia of motion
2) Inertia of position
3) Inertia of Direction.
