state the modern periodic law. What is the modern periodic table called?
rnModern Periodic Law: It states that "The physical and chemical properties of the elements are the periodic function of their atomic numbers."
According to this law, if we arrange the elements on basis of their increasing atomic numbers, we find that the elements with similar physical and chemical behavior will be grouped together after a certain interval of elements.
Here, the "periodic function" is used because the properties of elements are repeated after a periodic time (i.e. after a fix no. of elements) with atomic numbers.
The Modern Periodic table is called as the "Long form of The Periodic Table".
