The main postulate of kinetic theory of matter is as follows:

1. Molecules are the basic fundamental unit of matter which retain physical and chemical property of substance
2. The molecules are in random motion which differentiates matter into three parts i.e. solid, liquid and gas.
3. The force of interaction between molecules are very least i.e. weak Vander Waal force which differentiate the substance in solid, liquid and gas.
